The floods in February saw the High Tea postponed toApril.
What a lovely day, our Quota Alstonville High Tea to celebrate the women in our community who contribute so much to the welfare of others. The attendance was fantastic and over 90 women were treated to a delightful spread of food and an afternoon of fun and activity.
The guest speaker was Donna Sharam and she kept us all entertained, first of all with stories of her “20 year” overnight success through to the amazing contributions she has made in partnership with Maxwell Williams to the Royal Children’s Hospital and others. Her advice to us all was to smile, be happy and “Focus on the 80% in your life that’s working instead of complaining about the 20% that’s not.”
Thank you to all that attended and donated so generously to our Quota Flood Appeal and our other local projects including the Hot Food Hub in Ballina.
Our Flood Relief Appeal has now reached over $12,000 dollars.
